The Otherworldlies

The Otherworldlies by Jennifer Anne Kogler
Fern has always been weird. Well, how else would you describe someone who is allergic to the sun or that can communicate with animals? As she gets older her “powers” start to increase and she starts hearing voices talking about her future. When birds start dropping dead in her hometown, she and her twin brother realize they need to figure out who she really is before it’s too late. The Otherworldlies is a well written book that teens will enjoy but it had some very disturbing mental images and characters that might be too graphic for the minimum age recommended for this book.

From what little I've read about this book I am really looking forward to it. As summer comes on I'm in the mood for some interesting vampire fiction and this might just fit the bill.
