Valkyrie Cain has officially given up her old boring life to go work side by side with Skulduggery Pleasant, the one who introduced her into a new exciting crime filled world. She has been on many adventures with him, but their newest one is beyond dangerous, it’s almost suicidal. The threat? The rebirth of the faceless ones, rulers with potential to destroy the world; but for them to surface they need three things. Two of these things are obvious but the other is hidden, possibly never to be found. It is Skulduggery and Valkyrie’s job to make sure that the third thing is not found, but they don’t realize how close Valkyrie is to the hidden artifact and how she ultimately could be responsible for bringing the faceless ones back. This book was extremely enjoyable and I am absolutely in love with the characters.
